6th Grade learns about new GSS heating system

This summer GSS updated the heating system to improve the efficiency of the building. GSS is now running a wood chip boiler with a propane heater for backup. Wood chip boilers are more economical, clean, and sustainable than pellet and propane heaters. GSS is the only school in the Northeast to have a wood chip boiler! Classrooms plan to use the ashes from the boiler in compost for the garden in the spring.
