Fifth Grade TEam

Classroom Teacher:

Molly Sauvain

Molly is thrilled to have joined the Green Street School community this year! Before coming to Vermont, Molly lived and worked in Western Massachusetts-- as a classroom teacher at the Greenfield Center School, as education director at The Food Bank of Western MA, and before that as a school garden coordinator in Maine. She earned her bachelor's degree at Smith College, and went on to earn a master's degree in elementary education at Antioch University in Keene.

Molly grew up in New York state, but has made New England home for many years. She currently lives in the woods of Marlboro with her partner and two cats (Scout and Roo). Molly is passionate about building community within the classroom and making learning meaningful. She loves warm bread with butter, growing vegetables, reading novels and swimming in the ponds and lakes of Vermont.
