Winter Sports Overview 

 

Purpose

 

The Winter sports Program at Green Street School is intended to:

 

 

• Be an extension of the Physical Education program.

 

• Highlight healthy activities that can be enjoyed throughout student's lives.

 

• Raise awareness of local resources and healthy activities in our region.

 

• Promote healthy, individually challenging risk-taking and learning through research based "Brain-Body Connections."

 

• Provide students and staff with opportunities to have shared experiences outside of the regular learning environment.

 

• Give students the opportunity to find new strengths and areas of interest.
