Second Grade

Classroom Teacher
Meg Chingery
Meg McGrath is in her sixth year of teaching at Green Street School! She loves teaching math and science, and reading stories with her second graders!
Meg was born and raised in Keene, NH but has always loved Vermont. She graduated from Champlain College in Burlington with a Bachelor’s Degree in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She is currently enrolled in a Masters program with the Vermont Mathematics Initiative. She has spent the past three years learning best practices for teaching math and will graduate this spring with a Master’s degree in mathematics education.
When Meg is not at school, she is working on her farm with her dog Maisy, and fiance Wyatt. Together they raise chickens, ducks, and geese! She loves to spend time outside in her gardens and going on hikes!

Classroom Teacher
Alison Bissonnette
Ali Bissonnette, known by most of you as Miss Ali. Originally from NH, Ali went to Keene State College and graduated in 2008 with a degree in both Elementary Education and Communications.
She has taught pre-school and kindergarten as well, but has certainly found her home in grade two and loves being a part of the GSS community.
Ali is one of the Girls on the Run coaches and hopes to take on an after school program during the fall session too.
In her spare time Ali likes to go hiking with her family, read, be around animals and out in nature. This summer she spent a lot of time on her garden and taking her son on adventures.
